Biography
Ruth Taylor Jacobson studied painting and etching at the Slade School of Fine Art, London, 1959 - 63, where, among other awards, she won first prize in figure drawing.
Many years later, she was attracted to stained-glass, completing an advanced postgraduate course at Central St. Martin’s School of Art, London, where she was awarded a Fellowship in Stained Glass, 1991 - 2.
Solo exhibitions include Camden and Poole Arts Centres, 1985.
Group exhibitions include: Agnews, Wildenstein’s, Barbican Centre, Royal Festival Hall (London); she has also shown work in France, Holland, Malta and Israel, and participated in exhibitions touring Poland and Latvia.
In 1987 she was commissioned to paint a portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother for the Museums Association of Great Britain
